You too can make your wedding look as glamorous as the recent $100 million Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal wedding. If you’re as obsessed as we are with this over-the-top celebration, then you’ll appreciate our endless trolling of Instagram for any details of the nuptials. We’ve figured out that Interflora India led by celebrity floral designer Jeff Leatham is responsible for the incredibly intricate floral decor while one of our favorite designers Preston Bailey transformed the Mumbai’s Jio Garden into an enchanted garden with large-scale blooming flowers and other massive floral installations. The Ambani mansion Antilia was decked out like a flamboyant bride herself with strings of hanging lights and more lush floral installations complete with long marigold garlands and bells of many sizes. Inside, guests were served in an endless sea of sparkling silver dishes against a pristine backdrop of white enhanced with green and white floral decor.

After seeing all this extreme opulence, we are expecting some of it to overflow into the weddings of everyday people and so, we spoke to immersive wedding designer Sunita Sadhnani of Glamorous Event Planners and Productions on how to achieve the grandioseness of the Ambani wedding, but on a more attainable budget. Here are her suggestions.

Recreate the Ambani’s enchanted garden (left) with Sunita’s indoor version of a Seating Tree decorated (right) with the guest’s names and table numbers. As they “pick” for their names during cocktail hour, they’ll be enchanted with the experience.

Adding a wall of greenery accented in white flowers won’t break the bank if the materials are made of silk instead of being fresh. Sunita adds, carry the look through with real flowers set in crystal candelabras.

If you can’t cover your whole house in twinkling lights, Sunita says to bring the sparkle indoors with a wall of LED lights. Not only do they add a focal point to a room, they look great in photographs.

The Ambani’s may have had “Flower Girls” to greet their guests, Sunita employs “Champagne Girls” who also greet guests but this time with champagne glasses hidden in their crystal attire.

Sunita likes to add to the beauty of floral decor with the harmonious inclusion of crystal accents both on full display and in hidden areas.

Finally, Sunita says to add your own moments of glamour and indulgence by creating unexpected moments like indoor fireworks.
