We love late summer style for South Asian fashion with its rich metallic fabrics and hues. This is our favorite time of the year as the air gets crisp, and we start gearing up for festivals and holiday weddings. This season, Indian Fashion Cottage by Shilpa brings us an array of affordable wardrobe updates. From metallic saris which carry us right into fall, to sequined lehngas for the festive season ahead, each of these looks can be styled to be either Eastern or Western in interpretation. We’ve added some makeup choices to take each look to completion.

From Sonia Rykiel to Gucci, designers are showing sequins for both day and night. This lehnga takes the look and adds more dimension with a net overlay,  $275. Pair with a Gerard Cosmetic Glitter Lipstick in Cupid, $19.

The holographic look takes over for fall as seen on the FW2018 collections of fashion-forward brands like Christian Siriano and Maison Margiela. This metallic sari drapes and drips like liquid copper, $75. Accent your eyes with the revolutionary LOV magnetic eyeshadow that stays in its pot with magnets and glides on shimmery when applied dry and changes to a foil appearance when applied wet, $12. Available in the US later this year.

Net skirts just started showing up in SS 2018, and continue to get stronger as seen in Christian Dior Resort 2019. This net lehnga follows the look with all over floral work, $330. Try pairing it with biker accessories to give the ultra feminine look some street edge. Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Glow Kit in Sugar brings the romantic look to your face, $40.

Like hot pink ever left the South Asian bridal world, the hot hue is quickly overtaking Millennial Pink as the color for Fall 2018. Model Mayuri takes on two trends in this shot, Hot pink and Western with her Daisy Dukes. The lehnga has all over zari work on the net overlay, $495. Add Hype Nail Polish made out of plants like potatoes, maize and yucca in color XOXO, $7.99.
